Spelling Bee Audition Clarifications

Hey guys! There seems to be a little confusion about what is required for Spelling Bee auditions so I will repost the information here:

Sopranos: Please prepare measures 108-135 of "The I Love You Song"

Altos: Please prepare measures 44-66 of "Woe is Me"

Tenors: Please prepare measures 86-105 of "Chip's Lament"

Basses: Please prepare measures 62-80 of "Second (Part 1)"

**PLEASE NOTE: I have recorded two versions of me singing "Chip's Lament" to the accompaniment because this song is at the top of the tenor range, and it may be too high for some of the tenors. I recorded the original tenor part, and a lower alternate tenor part. Please do not feel the need to sing the higher tenor part if you don't feel comfortable, and just do what you are confident with!**

While I'm here, here's one more thing:

This audition will be very low-pressure because we already know how talented you guys are. We want to see more of who you are and what you could bring to our cast, and even if you don't get picked, it doesn't mean you are not talented enough or good enough. We don't take everyone because we don't want people to be stuck in a project that may not show their strengths. What you present at the audition may give you opportunities for other projects, and usually when you don't get a part in one production, you end up having an even better experience in some production going on! That's what happened to me as an underclassmen. After not being cast in the ensemble of a MainStage drama, I was cast as a lead in an amazing one act where I had one of the coolest theatrical experiences ever, but that never would have happened if I had given up after not getting into a more selective show. When one door closes, another one (almost always) opens. Okay, that's some food for thought but I'll stop my speil now. Text me anything, though, if you're nervous you can always come talk to me!
